The Public Service Pensions Board (PSPB), in partnership with the Portfolio of the Civil Service, is encouraging eligible current and retired civil servants to apply for an ex gratia defined benefit pension for unpaid contracted officer's supplements.
The initiative is aimed at former non-Caymanian contracted officers who were employed by the Cayman Islands Government before 1 January 2000, later obtained Caymanian status, and meet the eligibility requirements established under the Public Service Pensions (Ex-Gratia Pensions) Regulations (2026 Revision).
Applicants must satisfy all prescribed criteria, including continuous government employment and eligibility related to unpaid contracted officer's supplements. The PSPB has established a formal application and assessment process to review claims and determine eligibility for pension benefits.
Interested individuals are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements carefully, complete the application form, and submit all required supporting documentation to the PSPB. Due to the historical nature of the records involved, application reviews may take several months to complete.
For more information, eligibility details, and application forms, applicants should visit the PSPB website or contact the Public Service Pensions Board directly.
